Favorite Saint: St. Mother Teresa – She loved others the way Jesus loved others. She put others before herself to make a difference in the world. I really admire her.

Favorite Outside-Of-Work Activity: I love to bake.  I especially love baking and decorating special birthday cakes for my Grandchildren. I have 3 Granddaughters and 2 Grandsons.

Favorite Moment at SJS:  My favorite moments and memories are the Christmas and Spring programs.  I am always amazed by the many talents our students have here at St. Joe’s and I’m always happy to see when they go on to share those talents at the High School level.

Favorite Children’s Book:  I have always enjoyed the story “Mrs. Nelson is Missing” by Harry Allard. I love reading this story to my first graders at the beginning of each school year. I have also been known to dress up as Viola Swamp for Halloween which is always fun.

Favorite Place In Minnesota:  I have always enjoyed Duluth in northern Minnesota. I love the sight of Lake Superior as you drive up Hwy 35.

Qualities Your Favorite Teacher Possessed:  My favorite teacher was my Chemistry teacher in High School, Dr. Ring. He was kind, engaging, patient and funny. He loved being a teacher and making a difference in young people’s lives.

EducationI graduated from Harding High on the East Side of St. Paul in 1979.  I continued my studies at The College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph, Minnesota.  I graduated in 1983 with a BA in Elementary Education.
