SPRING TRIMESTER GRADE INFO: The Grading System for Grades K-2 Specialists at 
St. Joe's is not a letter grade (A,B,C...) but a number system (1,2,3,4) The criteria
is as follows: 
4=Student Exceeds Expectations       3= Student Meets Expectations
2=Student is Approaching Standards/Expectations   
1=Student is Performing Below Standards
(Note that in grades K-2, most students receive 3's, Student Meets Expectations)

GUEST INSTRUMENTALISTS IN MUSIC CLASS

The next opportunity for students to perform as “Guest Instrumentalists” in their music classes will be at the end of the school year in June.  Songs do not need to be memorized. A schedule will in the GreenWave newsletter prior to the dates.   Please remember to send their music books with them on their grade’s day. Mrs. Mansour

K-4 P.E. NEWS: On P.E. days, students should be wearing comfortable running/tennis shoes.
Spring Fitness Testing has already started for Grades 1-4.  I will send home a notice of which day
these grades will be running the 1/2 mile (grades 1 & 2) and the mile (grades 3 & 4). Students
are encouraged to bring a water bottle and any inhalers or other medication that may be
needed for that day.
