“Art Washes from the Soul the Dust of Every Day
Mission Statement: Students will
develop their visual sensitivity, creative potential, and intellectual ability
through the discovery of God’s beauty in creation reflected in the art of the

Day 1 - Grade 2
Day 2 - Grade 3
Day 3 - Grade 6

Day 5 - Kindergarten
Students in grades 3-8 are given a percentage
grade in art. The students will be
assessed in three areas: projects and participation and effort
1. Projects: Students are assessed according to parameters
of the assignment. Students are expected
to follow the directions given for each assignment.
2. Effort: student has taken time, attempted to complete
a neat and well-done project
3. Participation: Students receive 5 points each art class for
participation. They may lose points
based on participation and behavior.
